Ceramic-supported graphene oxide membrane bioreactors have already shown their potential for the anaerobic decolorization of wastewater containing azo dyes. The primary goal this investigation was to develop a mathematical model that would be able describe steady-state behavior biodegradation process. developed calibrated and validated using independent experimental data sets with various dye structure, feed concentration, hydraulic retention time (HRT), support materials on which biofilm grown. used analyze intrinsic mechanism process main finding hydrolysis is rate limiting step. Hydrolysis constant decreased increasing complexity structure. Support high electron transfer capacity increased activity, therefore, constant. Acetate as an external carbon source, improved removal efficiency. However, acetate ratio did not direct relation Higher (HRT) contact between molecules enhanced efficiency, too. it essential impose right balance HRT sources make feasible.
